Southern Specialty Underwriters is proud to announce its rebrand to Arbour Specialty, a milestone that underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing its service to independent agents across the Southeast. With the rebrand, Arbour Specialty has named Rebecca Roberts its new President, positioning the company for significant growth in the new chapter.

Founded in 2009, the relaunched Arbour Specialty is a wholesale outlet for specialized personal and business insurance coverages. The company offers independent agents access to top-tier carrier appointments and delivers high-touch, dedicated service.

Roberts joins Arbour Specialty with 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. She recently served as Regional Vice President at Burns & Wilcox, leading the Southeast region. Over her 16-year tenure there, she led five profit centers across Florida and Georgia, driving strategic growth, operational improvements, and the successful launch of new insurance products.

She brings the expertise, vision, and leadership to guide us in this exciting new phase,” said Connor Leonard, who leads the parent company Arbour National. “We believe there is an opportunity for Arbour Specialty to thrive by offering a full product offering with the personalized service of a smaller, responsive team,” added Roberts.

Roberts holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University and carries the CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) and ASLI (Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance) designations. She also serves on the WSIA Talent Outreach Committee and the FSLA Convention Committee.
