Numbers Continue To Climb: Macon-Bibb Grants $243k To Aid Local Organizations Amid Rising Demand

On Tuesday, Macon-Bibb County awarded $243,000 in community development block grants to Bibb County organizations that help people in need. The grants are leftover COVID-19 pandemic relief funds from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The increase in funding comes alongside an increased demand for lifesaving services, especially those that come free of charge through organizations like Crisis Line & Safe House of Central Georgia.
