The Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the expansion and rebranding of its prestigious Small Business of the Year award. Now known as the Outstanding Business of the Year (OBOY) Award, this recognition will honor exceptional businesses across two categories:

• Small Business of the Year – 50 or fewer full-time employees

• Large Business of the Year – 51 or more full-time employees 

This expanded format allows the Chamber to more inclusively recognize the outstanding achievements of both small and large businesses within our community. The OBOY Awards celebrate companies that demonstrate excellence in business operations, innovation, and community involvement—while reflecting the Chamber’s mission to foster economic vitality and enhance quality of life in Milledgeville and Baldwin County.

Eligibility Criteria: To be considered for the Outstanding Business of the Year (OBOY) Awards, businesses must: • Be a privately owned, for-profit entity • Be a Chamber member in good standing for a minimum of three consecutive years • Not have been a finalist in the past year or a recipient of the award in the past three years • Demonstrate measurable business growth (e.g., increased sales, profitability, or expanded services/staff) • Reflect one or more of the Chamber’s strategic objectives: • Talent and Workforce Development • Network and Business Development • Advocacy • Organizational Excellence • Show a strong record of community involvement and contribution

Nominations are open to all eligible businesses and may be submitted by anyone, including self-nominations. Finalists and recipients will be honored at the Chamber’s Annual Awards Dinner & Gala on Saturday, June 14, presented by Century Bank & Trust.
