A handful of Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) students and staff took part in volunteer projects over Spring Break at Orphanage Emmanuel in Guaimaca, Honduras.
Nneka Illonah, Haley Schaffer, Katie Jelly, and Maddie Moseley joined staff from Dental Hygiene and Academic Affairs serving as needed across the orphanage leveraging their skills from their program areas like nursing, dental Hygiene and cosmetology.
“We are hopeful that a few Titans willing to go abroad and give up their time during Spring Break will serve as motivation to others to join in the future,” said JoBen Rivera-Thompson, CGTC’s director of Marketing, Public Relations and International Outreach.
“The Titan spirit is strong at the College and our students' empathy, knowledge, skills, and workforce potential is ready to be displayed globally.”
