Annual Children’s Hospital Tree Lighting Goes Virtual
Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020
The community is cordially invited to join Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital, Navicent Health (BKO) online on Monday, December 7 at 6:00 p.m. for an annual holiday tradition, “A Night of Lights,” the lighting of the Children’s Tree.
Jonas and Josiah Seabrooks, seven-year-old twins from Macon, Ga., will light the tree in honor of all of the hospital’s young patients and the children throughout the communities Navicent Health serves. Jonas and Josiah were born prematurely and spent time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at BKO, where Jonas also underwent surgery.
Due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the community is invited to join the festivities virtually this year for the first time. Attendees can join the celebration by visiting www.facebook.com/childrenshospitalmacon beginning at 6:00p.m. on Monday, December 7.
“A Night of Lights is a wonderful holiday tradition that celebrates the tenacity of our youngest patients, and their loved ones. Even though we will not be gathering in person this year, this is still a fun, family-friendly event and a great way to kick off the holiday season. In fact, we hope more people will be able to join us online than have traditionally come in person to A Night of Lights!” said Missi Upshaw, Director of Pediatric and Women’s Services, Navicent Health.
