Eatonton celebrates National Economic Development Week from May 7-12. National Economic Development Week was created and is coordinated by The International Economic Development Council. It is being held during the week of the organization’s 92nd anniversary as the largest professional membership organization for economic developers.
 
Eatonton joins cities nationwide to increase awareness of jobs and career development programs that enhance local economic impact.
 
“We are excited that Eatonton will participate in the 2018 National Economic Development Week.” said Terry Schwindler, Economic Development Director of the Putnam Development Authority. “Our primary event will be Lunch & Learn that will focus on Workforce Resources for Local Business and will include a tour of the award-winning Putnam County High School College & Career Academy. Putnam County businesses will discover free resources available to them.
