Have you considered becoming an entrepreneur? Thinking about starting a business but not sure where to begin? You’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. The SBDC “How to Start a Business in Georgia” program is sponsored by State Farm and is designed to give potential business owners clarity, confidence, and practical tools they need to launch successfully. This class offers: stepbystep guidance on turning an idea into a real business, plainlanguage explanations of business plans, licensing, funding, and startup costs, handson activities to help you map out your goals and next steps, expert support from instructors who understand local resources and realworld challenges, and a welcoming, accessible environment for all learners — no prior business experience required.
This program is open to firsttime entrepreneurs, sidehustlers ready to go legit, anyone exploring business ownership as a career path and community members who want to learn in a supportive, inperson setting. Starting a business is a big step — but with the right information and support, it becomes achievable.
