Kyle Pomerleau is an Economist for the Tax Foundation’s Center for Federal Tax Policy. Previously, he was a Koch Summer Fellow at the Americans for Tax Reform Foundation. He also interned at The Cato Institute’s Center for Educational Freedom. Before coming to Washington, D.C., he was a research associate at the Maine Heritage Policy Center in Portland, Maine, where his research and writing on welfare policy became instrumental in the state’s recent welfare reforms. He has written on a variety of topics such as state and federal taxation, government spending, employment, welfare policy, and education policy. He holds an MPP from Georgetown Public Policy Institute and holds a BA in Political Science and History from the University of Southern Maine.
