Lt. Governor Burt Jones: Strengthening Georgia by Supporting Its Youth
Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026
Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones is calling on Georgia business leaders to play a vital role in supporting youth aging out of the foster care system. Hundreds of young people each year in our state suddenly face adulthood without the resources or relationships they need to succeed.
Thanks to unanimous bipartisan support in the General Assembly, the Fostering Success Act Tax Credit allows individuals and businesses to redirect their Georgia state tax liability to fund education, housing, counseling, job training, transportation, and more for these young adults. This comes all at no cost to the taxpayer. It’s a smart, targeted way to make an immediate impact on some of Georgia’s most vulnerable youth.
While Georgia has made significant progress the work doesn’t stop at age 18. Lt. Governor Jones reminds us that continued investment in this population is essential to building a stronger, more stable future for our state. Learn more and apply at fosteringsuccessact.org
