Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2026

Fairview Park Hospital, as part of HCA Healthcare, today announced that it has been recognized by Healthgrades for excellence in specialty care. In total, 102 HCA Healthcare hospitals have been recognized by Healthgrades for excellence in specialty care, more than any other health system in the country.

Among Fairview Park Hospital’s new recognitions are two Specialty Excellence Awards, which place the hospital among the top 15% nationwide for Orthopedic and Outpatient care. Fairview also achieved two Five-Star Ratings for outstanding performance in Hip Fracture Treatment for the ninth consecutive year, along with Outpatient Total Knee Replacement for the third consecutive year.

For patients and families making healthcare decisions, these recognitions provide information about hospitals that have demonstrated strong clinical outcomes in specific areas of care. Healthgrades evaluates hospitals using measures such as risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates, which account for differences in patients’ health conditions and the complexity of their care.

“Receiving this Healthgrades Excellence Award is a tremendous honor and a true reflection of the dedication our colleagues bring to work every single day”, commented Fairview Park Hospital President and CEO, Brad Griffin, FACHE. “Behind this recognition are compassionate healthcare professionals who work tirelessly to provide safe, high-quality care and achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients. This award is more than an accomplishment for our hospital; it represents the trust our community places in us and our ongoing commitment to delivering the exceptional care they deserve. I couldn't be prouder of our team and the difference they make in the lives of our patients and their families.”

Across the recognized hospitals, HCA Healthcare received 280 America’s Best Specialty distinctions and 617 Specialty Excellence Awards, both the highest totals among health systems nationwide.

HCA Healthcare supports its caregivers through a connected network designed to enable hospitals to share expertise, learn from clinical data and promote practices to improve patient care. For example, drawing on its system-wide experience of approximately 10 million emergency room visits annually, HCA Healthcare works with clinical teams to identify opportunities for improvement and share best practices across its hospitals. In 2025, the organization also standardized technology across its emergency departments to help care teams have a more complete view of patient information, supporting timely clinical decisions and coordinated care.

The Healthgrades specialty care recognitions are based on an analysis of clinical outcomes for common conditions and procedures. The awards recognize performance in specific specialties by evaluating hospitals using objective clinical measures

While these recognitions highlight strong performance at individual hospitals, HCA Healthcare remains focused on improving clinical outcomes and the care experience across its network. The organization continues to evaluate performance, identify opportunities for improvement and support caregivers in delivering safe, effective and compassionate care.
