Greater Macon Chamber to Celebrate Business Growth and Momentum with Community-Wide Ribbon Cutting
Wednesday, October 7th, 2026
On October 21, the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce will do something a little different with its signature red ribbon.
Rather than cutting the ribbon on one new business, Chamber Day will bring businesses from across Macon-Bibb County together for a community-wide ribbon cutting celebrating the growth, vibrancy, and momentum of Greater Macon’s business community.
Chamber Day & Chamber 101 will take place from noon to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21, at the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce. Longtime Investors, new investors, and businesses interested in learning more about the Chamber are invited to spend the afternoon connecting and discovering ways to become more engaged in the local business community.
At 12:30 p.m., Chamber-invested businesses will gather on the Chamber steps for a large-group ribbon cutting recognizing the businesses, entrepreneurs, employers and organizations collectively building Macon-Bibb’s economy and creating momentum for its future.
“We cut ribbons all year long as businesses open, expand and invest in Macon-Bibb County, but Chamber Day allows us to step back and look at the bigger picture,” said Jessica Walden, President & CEO of the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce. “Every one of those milestones contributes to something larger. This is a chance to celebrate the energy we are seeing across our business community and to recognize that our future is being built by people who continue to choose Macon, invest here and grow here.”
By opening the Chamber’s doors to established Investors, new businesses, and those simply curious about getting involved, the program offers a transparent look at the Chamber’s role in connecting businesses with people, resources, advocacy, and opportunities for growth.
“Our business community has a lot to be excited about, but momentum does not happen by accident,” Walden said. “It happens when businesses know one another, collaborate, share opportunities and understand how to engage with the community around them. Chamber Day is really an invitation to be part of what comes next.”
Following the ribbon cutting, attendees will gather for lunch, networking and connections from 1 to 2 p.m.
The afternoon will conclude with Chamber 101: How to Maximize Your Chamber Investment from 2 to 3 p.m. Offered both in person and virtually, Chamber 101 will walk investors and those interested in joining through Chamber resources, programs, connections and opportunities available to help businesses make the most of their investment.
