Lender Sues Now-Defunct Dublin Car Dealership for $3.7 Million. Here's Why

A Dublin car dealership is being sued by Stellantis Financial Services, accused of receiving millions and failing to make payments, according to a newly-filed federal lawsuit.
The lawsuit says Joe Maus Dublin Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram, a car dealership at 2054 U.S. 441, had received millions of dollars from Stellantis' financial arm, allowing them to purchase inventory from the company.
The company upfronts cash for the dealership but, as part of it, the dealership made promises.
Stellantis Financial Services provided financing that allowed the dealership to purchase vehicles for its inventory. In return, the dealership agreed to repay Stellantis when those vehicles were sold and to use certain inventory as collateral.
