Houston County School District’s Graduation Rate Increases to 94.6%

Today, the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) released the 2026 high school graduation rates from around the state. The 2026 graduation rate for Houston County School District rose to another historic high of 94.6%, which is 6.1% higher than the state’s rate of 88.5%. The Houston County School District saw a 1.3% increase from 2025 when the graduation rate was 93.3%.
“This record-breaking graduation rate is a tremendous accomplishment for our entire community,” said Dr. Richard Rogers, Superintendent of Schools. “It reflects the strong relationships our teachers and staff build with students every day, as well as our continued commitment to innovation and finding new ways to help every student succeed.”
A total of 2,199 students graduated in 2026. The four-year cohort graduation rates are listed below.
Houston County School District 94.6%
Houston County High School 98.2%
Northside County High School 89.9%
Perry High School 98.2%
Veterans High School 96.2%
Warner Robbins High School 91.3%
State of Georgia 88.5%
Dr. Rogers added, “This achievement is the result of the hard work and perseverance of our students, the dedication of our teachers and staff, and the support of families throughout our community. We want every student to leave us with the knowledge, skills, confidence, and experiences they need to be successful in whatever path they choose next. We are incredibly proud of our graduates, not only for what they have accomplished, but also for how well they are prepared for the opportunities ahead.”
Georgia calculates a four-year adjusted cohort graduation rate as required by federal law. The calculation is based on the number of students who graduate within four years of high school and does not include students who take more than four years to graduate.
