Hospital Volunteer Celebrates 100th Birthday, Says He'll Keep Greeting Patients 'Until They Throw Me Out'

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Davie Medical Center celebrated one of their volunteer's 100th birthday. Teammates and fellow volunteers gathered to honor Jack Jerome's remarkable milestone and more than 35 years of service.
At 100 years old, Jerome has no plans to stop volunteering at the hospital where he has spent more than three decades helping patients find their way.
Jerome began volunteering in 1990 and has logged more than 12,386 volunteer hours. His primary role is greeting patients, helping them register and directing them to the appropriate offices.
