Final Beam Placed on Guitar-Shaped Terminal at Middle Georgia Regional Airport

Construction crews placed the final beam Monday atop a unique, guitar-shaped executive terminal at Middle Georgia Regional Airport.
City leaders and builders celebrated the progress, saying the terminal will serve as a gateway for private and corporate aviation customers flying into Macon.
“This is one of kind not only in the state of Georgia, but probably nationwide,” President and CEO of Sheridan Construction Christy Kovac said. “I think it will be a sight to come see.” Kovac said her team has worked to bring together challenging angles and curves to complete the musical-inspired design.
