Macon Arts Alliance is proud to present their September show, “In Tandem”, featuring works by husband-and-wife painter duo Jeff and Laura Surace. Together, Jeff and Laura create artwork inspired by the natural world, celebrating the enduring connection between people, place, and light.
Join us for the opening reception of “In Tandem” on First Friday, September 4, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm!
“In Tandem” will be available to view from September 4 to September 25.

Join or Die - Community Film Screening
The public is invited to a free screening of Join or Die, an Emmy-nominated documentary that explores the decline of civic and community participation in America, and asks what individuals and communities can do to rebuild connections.
Are you a member of a club or social group? If so, you may be helping preserve democracy without even realizing it!
You can learn about how community connections are central to American civic society with our free screening of the documentary, Join or Die, presented by Community Partnership and Middle Georgia Regional Libraries.
This film is based on the reserch of Robert Putnam, author of Bowling Alone, and explores how America’s future depends on social organizations and clubs.
Join us at the Macon Mall’s meeting space on Tuesday, September 8th at 5:30pm for a community discussion followed by the screening of Join or Die at 6:00pm. This event is recommended for viewers 18+.

Corks & Canvas
Corks & Canvas is a fun, beginner-friendly painting workshop where you can relax and hang out with friends while a local artist teaches you how to recreate a beautiful painting. No painting experience required. Bring a beverage of your choice to sip on while you paint. The cost is $30, and includes all materials for an 11 x 14 painting (or $35 for a 16 x 20 painting). The workshops start at 7 pm and lasts two and a half hours. On September 11, our instructor Molly Fox will teach a painting of a luna moth under a full moon.
