Middle Georgia Association of REALTORS Rally Community to Combat Homelessness Through Pickleball Tournament

As homelessness continues to impact families and individuals across Middle Georgia, the Middle Georgia Association of REALTORS® (MGAR) is inviting the community to be part of the solution—one pickleball match at a time.
On August 22–23, 2026, MGAR will host the 3rd Annual Igniting Hope for the Homeless Pickleball Tournament at Rhythm & Rally Sports & Events in Macon. The event will bring together players, businesses, volunteers, and community leaders for a weekend dedicated to raising funds and awareness for six organizations serving people experiencing homelessness throughout Middle Georgia.
Unlike many fundraising events that benefit a single charity, all net proceeds raised through this tournament will be shared among six local organizations that provide shelter, meals, transitional housing, and life-changing support to those in need:

Together, these organizations work every day to provide hope, dignity, and a path toward stability for some of Middle Georgia's most vulnerable neighbors and veterans.
"Homelessness affects every community," said Sandy Davis, Association Executive for the Middle Georgia Association of REALTORS®. "As REALTORS®, we understand the importance of having a place to call home. This tournament is about more than competition—it's about bringing our community together to support organizations that help people move from homelessness to hope and area veterans successfully transition to civilian life."
The tournament will be held inside Rhythm & Rally's premier climate-controlled, 32-court indoor pickleball facility. Men's and Women's Doubles competition will take place on Saturday, August 22, followed by Mixed Doubles on Sunday, August 23.
Organizers hope the event will not only raise critical funding but also shine a spotlight on the growing need for community involvement in addressing homelessness throughout the region.
Players of all skill levels are invited to participate, while spectators are encouraged to attend, cheer on competitors, and learn more about the local organizations making a difference every day.
Local businesses and community sponsors have also joined the effort, demonstrating that when nonprofits, businesses, and volunteers work together, meaningful change can happen.
