Macon Milledgeville Regional Habitat for Humanity Plans to Build New Homes on Headquarters' Parking Lot
Wednesday, August 19th, 2026
With a unique and familiar location, Macon Milledgeville Habitat for Humanity is looking forward in their next home build. The nonprofit is planning to bring two family homes to an underused parking lot on their headquarters' property.
Executive Director of Macon Habitat Ivey Hall says they're already taking applications for the homes in the unique space.
"We should make much better use of this empty vacant, underutilized space, and let's bring some homeowners to it," Hall said.
Macon-Bibb Planning and Zoning leaders approved to rezone the land to residential use last week. Macon's headquarters sit on Holt Avenue in the Napier Heights Neighborhood, where Hall says they've focused their efforts since 2020.
