The Macon Film Festival returned for its 21st year, bringing movie fans downtown and giving local businesses hope for more customers after a slow summer.
The festival runs through the weekend and includes film screenings, college-produced work, and opportunities for fans to meet people involved in the movies.
Businesses near the theater say the return of the festival could help bring new people through their doors. Oliver Sabet, a sales associate at The Bohemian Den, said the store is looking forward to seeing both regular customers and first-time visitors.
