While Georgia's $91.4 billion agriculture industry is known for commodities like broilers, specialty crops also play a major role in the state's economy.

Now, a group of Southeastern lawmakers is urging U.S. trade leaders to strengthen protections for specialty crop growers.

The group inclu=des Georgia's U.S. senators Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff, who signed a letter addressed to U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer in June.
