Fort Valley City Council Censures Mayor, Imposes Restrictions Amid Misconduct Allegations

The Fort Valley City Council has formally censured Mayor Shakeena Reeves and imposed significant restrictions on her authority following allegations of misconduct.
Council members first voted on Aug. 13 to limit the mayor's authority by suspending all city-issued credit cards and fuel cards. Then, during Tuesday night's meeting, they approved an amendment adding even stricter restrictions to that resolution.
