Applications Open for Youth Leadership Baldwin Class of 2026–2027
Tuesday, August 11th, 2026
The Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for Youth Leadership Baldwin (YLB), a leadership development program for high school juniors in Baldwin County.
Youth Leadership Baldwin gives students the opportunity to develop leadership skills, expand their networks, and gain a deeper understanding of the community they call home. Through hands-on experiences and interactions with local leaders, participants learn about the people, organizations, resources, opportunities, and issues shaping Baldwin County’s future.
Students will have opportunities to explore the community and beyond, including learning where their water comes from, touring local manufacturers, meeting local business and community leaders, and traveling to Atlanta to visit the State Capitol.
“The goal of Youth Leadership Baldwin is to give students a firsthand look at their community and help them understand the opportunities, resources, and challenges that will shape Baldwin County’s future,” said Kara Lassiter, President & CEO of the Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber. “We want students to see themselves as leaders and recognize the important role they can play in making a positive impact in our community.”
YLB is open to Baldwin County high school juniors who have leadership potential, want to strengthen their leadership skills, or are interested in becoming more involved in their community.
Participants will also have the opportunity to build relationships with students from other schools and connect with key business, civic, and community leaders.
Participation requires a commitment of time, energy, and involvement throughout the program.
Applications are open through August 31, 2026. Students can apply online at
