'We Need Something to Do' Brookdale Neighbors Hopeful for Potential Food Truck Park

On a quiet street in the Brookdale Avenue neighborhood, Pattie Hall has spent more than four decades getting to know just about everyone around her. She moved here in 1984, and in the years since, the neighborhood has become more than just an address.
"If nothing happened, I'd be here till I leave this whole world," Hall said.
Cheryl Johnson has lived nearby for 15 years, and she says that same sense of familiarity is what's kept her and her family here. Neighbors know each other's faces, their cars, even their relatives.
