The Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that President & CEO Kara Lassiter, IOM, has graduated from the Institute for Organization Management (IOM), the professional development program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, earning the nationally recognized IOM designation.

IOM is a four-year educational program designed to enhance the skills of association, chamber, and nonprofit professionals. Throughout the program, participants complete 96 hours of nonprofit management training focused on leadership, strategic planning, advocacy, finance, communications, membership development, and organizational effectiveness.

Lassiter completed the rigorous four-year program while continuing to lead the Chamber's efforts to support local businesses, strengthen workforce development initiatives, and advance economic growth throughout Baldwin County.

"Completing the Institute has been one of the most valuable professional experiences of my career," said Lassiter. "I'm thankful to the Chamber's Board of Directors for their support and investment in my professional development. I'm excited to use what I've learned to better serve our members and continue building a stronger business community here in Baldwin County."
