Houston County Names the 2026-2027 Teacher of the Year

Brianna Walker, visual arts teacher at Perry High School, has been named Houston County's Teacher of the Year for the 2026-2027 school year.
Walker graduated from Warner Robins High School in 2013 and is entering her 10th year of teaching this August.
"A complete shock, to be honest with you," Walker said. "I'm so happy to be able to represent all the fine arts teachers here in Houston County as well as representing my school, but I love being able to share the importance that the fine arts have here and how it helps bring our students into the school building and helps keep them in school."
