Downtown Restaurant Famous Mike's of Macon Closing Just Over a Year After Founder's Death

A downtown Macon restaurant is closing their doors for good, according to a post from the business.
On Monday, Famous Mike's of Macon — a downtown Macon eatery on Poplar Street specializing in burgers, breakfast and biscuits — announced they are closing, effective immediately.
"There’s no decent way of saying this but, Famous Mike’s is closed permanently, effective immediately," according to the post. "We’re sorry to be the bearer of bad news."
