Downtown Macon’s French Fry Fight Returns with 22 Restaurants Competing for Super Spud Trophy

Downtown Macon is once again celebrating one of its most popular summer food events.
Hosted by NewTown Macon, the event invites customers to visit participating restaurants during regular business hours, order each location’s featured fry creation and vote for their favorite.
“We’re back with French Fry Fight. This is our fifth year,” said Haley Purvis, digital content manager for NewTown Macon. “We have 22 businesses that are going to be serving up their best fry creations, so we have savory options. We have some sweet options so you can expect a little bit of everything.”
