'Wanted This for a Long Time' - Macon-Bibb P&Z Votes to Rezone Over 27 Acres in North Macon for a Costco

A potential Costco is one step closer to coming to North Macon, despite some local traffic concerns.
On Monday, Macon-Bibb Planning and Zoning Commissioners unanimously agreed to rezone just over 27 acres on the corner of New Forsyth Road and Wesleyan Drive for the project. Early plans for the wholesale club call for 158,000 square foot warehouse, over 800 parking spaces, and 32 gas pumps.
