The sequel to James Gunn's "Superman" will start filming in Macon next week, according to a news release from Macon-Bibb County.
According to the release, S&K Pictures, Inc. will be in downtown Macon to film a new movie from June 15 through July 17, closing down several areas during shoots.
S&K Pictures is a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Pictures, which produced “Superman,” among other movies. In 2024, “Superman” filmed scenes at Terminal Station in Downtown Macon.
“It’s a great day in Macon-Bibb when our beautiful community will be featured on the big screen,” says Mayor Lester Miller. “I’m especially excited for the length of time crews will be here, getting to enjoy the hospitality and welcoming nature of our Downtown.”
