Larry Walker Jr., Former State House Majority Leader and Backer of Perry's Georgia National Fairgrounds, Has Died at Age 84

A longtime Central Georgia political leader died late Tuesday night.
Larry Walker Jr., Georgia House majority leader and a big proponent in the making of the Georgia National Fairgrounds died at his home in Houston County, surrounded by his family, according to county Coroner James Williams.
Williams said he was 84 years old and had been in hospice care.
