GDOT District 3 Was Awarded Nine Projects in April 2026

The first investments of this month are in Troup County. One includes 1.47 miles of widening and reconstruction on SR 14 Spur, beginning south of SR 109 and extending to US 29 / SR 14. The cost is approximately for $26 million. The contract was awarded to Southern Site Development, Inc. The next is a resurfacing project in Troup Co for 5.06 miles, including plant mix resurfacing and shoulder rehab. It will be State Route 1/State Route 14 beginning at Ferrell Drive and extending to State Route 14 Spur. The cost will be approximately $3 million, and the award will be made to McLeroy, Inc.
The next investment will be a resurfacing project in Butts and Spalding counties. It will consist of plant mix resurfacing of 9.08 miles on SR 16 beginning East of Barrow Road and extending to the Butts County line. The resurfacing project is estimated to cost approximately $5.4 million. The contract was awarded to E. R. Snell Contracter, Inc.
The second investment is located in Houston and Macon-Bibb counties. This project consists of 9.13 miles of resurfacing of SR 127, beginning east of SR 49 and extending to west of SR 224. This will include plant mix, resurfacing and shoulder rehabilitation. The project will cost approximately $2.5 million and was awarded to Renames and Son Construction Company.
The next investment will be in Houston and Peach Counties. This project consists of 5.08 miles of resurfacing on State Route 11, beginning at State Route 247 Connector and extending to MP 29 (Houston County).. The cost will be $2.8 million, and the project was awarded to Reeves Construction Company.
The next investment will be in Bibb, Monroe and Twiggs Counties. This project comprises various bridge rehabilitation initiatives. The cost will be $744k, and the project was awarded to Omega Coatings & Construction, LLC.
The next investment is in Stewart County and is a resurfacing project. It is located on State Route 27 from the Quitman County Line to SR 1. It will cost approximately $4.7 million and will be awarded to Oxford Construction Company.
The last investment of this month is in Spalding County and consists of Resurfacing and maintenance of State Route 16 from W. Poplar Street to east of Barrow Road. It will cost $4.4 Million and will be awarded to C.W. Matthews Contracting Co.
Start dates have not been established for any of the contracts and are not scheduled.
