Monday, June 1st, 2026

The Georgia Department of Economic Development, in partnership with the Georgia World Congress Center Authority, invites Georgians, business leaders, and visitors of all ages to join the excitement during the FIFA World Cup 2026™ (FWC26) at “Georgia, the Whole Day Through” – an immersive, interactive, and uniquely Georgia experience marked by the flavors, sights, and sounds that define the state.

The free, limited-time-only event will be held just inside the doors of the Georgia World Congress Center and steps away from Centennial Olympic Park and Atlanta Stadium (known year-round as Mercedes-Benz Stadium). No ticket or advance registration is required. The event will be live and open to the public for a preview event on June 11, as well as on FWC26 Atlanta match dates: June 15, 18, 21, 24, and 27, and July 1, 7, and 15 (times noted below).

“During the FIFA World Cup 2026™, Georgia will be on the minds of the world, and we’re inviting everyone to step across the street to cool off and join the fun at ‘Georgia, the Whole Day Through,’ where they can experience a taste of what the Peach State has to offer, from the mountains to the coast,” said Governor Brian P. Kemp. “We want everyone, from Georgians to fans from around the world, to take part in this moment. This exciting event will not only give our visitors a front porch experience that defines exactly what makes Georgia so special, but we’ll be hosting our guests with a brand of hospitality that they won’t find at any other host state during this tournament.”

Visitors to “Georgia, the Whole Day Through” will get a taste of everything the state has to offer across roughly half an acre of memory-making fun as the sights, sounds, and spirits of the Peach State come to life. Music and art that define Georgia communities entertain guests as they enjoy culinary delights alongside Georgia’s breweries, wineries, and other hometown favorites. Immersive showcases will highlight the diversity, creativity, and innovation happening across Georgia’s regions, business community, and culture.

“The Georgia World Congress Center Authority welcomes millions of visitors from around the world each year for conventions, tradeshows, sporting events, concerts, and entertainment experiences, and our campus is built to support global moments like the FIFA World Cup 2026™,” said Georgia World Congress Center Authority CEO Kevin Duvall. “This immersive showcase is an opportunity to introduce visitors not only to our campus, but also to the energy, hospitality, and businesses that define the Peach State. We hope guests leave inspired to return for future meetings, events, and investment opportunities across Georgia.”

Communities and signature businesses throughout Georgia have partnered with the Georgia Department of Economic Development and the Georgia World Congress Center Authority to join the event, showcasing the hospitality, welcoming atmosphere, attractions, and economic opportunities that span the state.

“We have a great story to share as the Top State for Business for over a decade, with a multi-year run of new records set in business recruitment and expansion, tourism, trade, and much, much more,” said Governor Kemp.

At the event, Georgia businesses, large and small, will highlight the diversity of industries and organizations that keep Georgia moving forward as a global gateway. A top 10 state for exports and total trade, Georgia is the 8th-largest economy in the United States. International companies accounted for one in four investments, representing an estimated $5.9 billion for communities statewide in fiscal year 2025.

“Georgia, the Whole Day Through” is also designed to immerse guests in the diverse landscapes and experiences that have positioned Georgia as the No. 5 state for domestic overnight visitation for five consecutive years. Georgia welcomed a record 174.2 million travelers in calendar year 2024, reinforcing the state’s position as a leading destination for travel and global events.

“There are countless reasons why Georgia was chosen as a host site. Just as the 1996 Olympics elevated Georgia onto the global stage, this moment gives us a unique opportunity to showcase the global connectivity, innovative spirit, and welcoming communities that have made our state a desired destination to work, live, and play,” said Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Pat Wilson. “The world’s busiest and most efficient airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, makes travel here seamless from far-reaching destinations. No matter how they arrive, once visitors experience our state, I am confident they will return with families, friends, or even new business investment.”

“Even lifelong Georgians who visit our space will leave with a greater understanding about what makes Georgia such an exciting destination for business and people,” Wilson continued. “We are ready to welcome everyone.”

The Georgia World Congress Center Authority’s downtown Atlanta campus spans more than 200 acres of world-class event space – making it the largest combined convention, sports, and entertainment destination in North America. As part of its role in FWC26, the Georgia World Congress Center will act as a hub for fan activities throughout the multi-week event. It is also one of multiple agencies involved in a unified security plan.
