200 Jobs, 32 Gas Pumps and Thousands of New Daily Car Trips: Inside Macon's Costco Proposal

The Macon-Bibb Planning and Zoning Commission votes Monday on a rezoning request that would clear the way for Macon's first Costco — and neighbors say traffic on an already-congested corridor is their biggest concern.
The commission takes up the item at 1:30 p.m. Monday. If approved, the project would rezone nearly 28 acres of undeveloped, wooded land at 1990 Bass Road and 5384 New Forsyth Road from planned development and agricultural designations to C-4 highway commercial.
