'Same Great Food, Same Great Service' S&S Cafeterias on Riverside Reopens, More Than A Year After Fire

After being forced to shut down for over a year, a Macon staple is reopening its doors.
On Sept. 29, 2024, S&S Cafeteria on Riverside Drive caught fire around 12 a.m. The fire started in the kitchen, and the building suffered significant smoke damage.
This smoke damage, according to owner Richard Pogue, was so severe that repairs and remodeling took longer than they expected.
