A Hancock County park that has sat largely unused for years is set to undergo a major renovation, thanks to $1.75 million in federal funding secured through Senator Jon Ossoff's office.

County Commission Chairman Adrick Alexander Ingram, who grew up in Sparta, says the park holds a special place in the community and that its current state no longer reflects what it once was.
