Georgia Music Office Bill Heads to Gov. Kemp’s Desk, Could Boost Macon’s Economy

Georgia lawmakers have approved legislation creating the state’s first dedicated music office, a move supporters say could help communities like Macon expand their role in the music industry and attract new economic opportunities.

House Bill 14, known as the “Georgia Music Office and Music Ready Communities Act,” passed the Georgia Senate 47-9 and the Georgia House 161-5. The bill now heads to Gov. Brian Kemp, who is expected to sign it within the next few days.
