U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff recently announced new resources to help veterans find jobs after they leave the Armed Forces, including $300,000 in grant funding awarded to Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) and the Georgia Veterans Education Career Transition Resource Center (VECTR).
Bipartisan legislation passed in February led to this funding to support organizations across Georgia that help veterans find jobs once they leave the Armed Forces.
The CGTC Foundation will work with the VECTR Center to administer the funding.
“I have secured the bipartisan support in the Senate to help veterans across the State of Georgia find employment in the civilian workforce,” Sen. Ossoff said, in his office’s media release on the funding.
