Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Tuesday, April 28th, 2026

River Edge Behavioral Health has purchased the former Cadence Bank building at 4885 Riverside Drive in Macon, Georgia, marking a major expansion of outpatient behavioral health services for the region. The renovated facility will support integrated, expanded services for adults, children, and adolescents experiencing mental health and substance use disorders.

Located just off Interstate 75 North and across from The Shoppes at River Crossing, the Riverside Drive facility will strengthen coordination among clinical, housing, employment, and support teams to create a more seamless, accessible, and person-centered experience.

The location, opening in June 2027, will provide a wide range of outpatient services, including:
• Adult Clinical Services
• Child & Adolescent Services
• Case Management
• Community-Based Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Supports
• Medication-Assisted Treatment
• Substance Use Disorder Services
• Supportive Housing Services
• Supported Employment Services

“The purchase of 4885 Riverside Drive is a major step forward in our mission to provide accessible, high-quality behavioral health services across our region,” said Cass Hatcher, Chief Executive Officer. “This highly visible facility will expand Adult Outpatient and Child & Adolescent Services, increase access to Medication-Assisted Treatment, and strengthen partnerships in supportive housing and employment services - all in one coordinated setting.”

The Riverside Drive facility will serve as a hub for key operational support functions, including scheduling, finance and accounting, procurement, and facility maintenance. Consolidating these functions will improve efficiency, reduce administrative burden on clinical teams, free more resources for direct care, and reduce delays for those seeking services.

The remodel of the facility will create a welcoming, trauma-informed, and accessible environment that reflects River Edge’s commitment to dignity, safety, and recovery-oriented care. Renovation updates and community engagement opportunities will be shared through River Edge’s website and social media channels.
