Macon-Bibb P&Z Officially Approves Mercer Medical School for Riverside Drive Location

Macon-Bibb Planning and Zoning has approved a proposal to rezone land on Riverside Drive for a new Mercer medical school, according to documents from the city, and reporting from our Center For Collaborative Journalism partner Liz Fabian.
Mercer’s proposal asked for the rezoning of more than 11 acres of land on Riverside Drive, which would be turned into a medical school building, an office building, a series of apartments, a parking deck, and more.
