'Happening Way Too Much' - Macon Restaurant's AC Units Robbed for Copper, Destroyed for the Third Time

A Macon restaurant says they are facing thousands in damages after the third theft of their air conditioning unit.
Bob Berg, owner of Sid's Sandwich Shop on Forsyth Street, says it happened on Wednesday when he walked into the restaurant and noticed the dining room was warmer than normal.
"I came around here to check to see if we had a fan motor burned out or something like that. And instead of just a simple fan motor we found someone had cut through the chain link fence and just tore apart two of our AC units to get to the copper," Berg said.
