GSC Unveils “BIG NEWS” Campaign with Gordon State Bound Week, Highlander Nation Day

Gordon State College will host its inaugural Gordon State Bound Week April 20–25, leading up to Highlander Nation Day, a celebratory event designed to welcome accepted students and guide them through the next steps of their college journey.
After building anticipation across social media with a “BIG NEWS” campaign encouraging prospective students to check their mailboxes, GSC is now celebrating the reveal: acceptance into Highlander Nation.
The forward-themed acceptance mailer, designed to create a memorable and exciting moment for admitted students, opens to share the message, “You’re Accepted,” and introduces Gordon State Bound Week along with a series of engaging activities to help students take their next steps.
The weeklong initiative encourages incoming Highlanders to complete key enrollment milestones through a series of daily challenges outlined in their acceptance mailer. Participants who complete the required activities throughout the week will be entered into a scholarship drawing, with the winner announced during Highlander Nation Day.
Gordon State Bound Week is designed to move freshmen and transfer students forward from acceptance to enrollment. The initiative supports those who are provisionally accepted pending final documentation, as well as students who have been fully admitted but have not yet enrolled. Through a series of guided, action-driven tasks, including completing admissions requirements, submitting key surveys and engaging with the college community, students are actively stepping into their next chapter while building early connections to campus.
Highlander Nation Day serves as the culminating celebration, bringing students together to mark their acceptance and officially begin their journey at Gordon State. Attendees will connect with campus resources, engage with the Highlander community and experience campus life in action. The day will feature a high-energy atmosphere with games, food and music, giving future Highlanders a true feel for what it means to be part of Highlander Nation.
Students participating in Gordon State Bound Week are encouraged to attend Highlander Nation Day, as scholarship drawing winners must be present to claim their award.
