Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) Nursing student, Hannah Womack, recently visited with Governor Brian Kemp, and leaders in the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) to briefly share her story of perseverance and commitment to education while navigating the foster care system.

Womack’s story earned a recent feature in an opinion column by TCSG Commissioner, Greg Dozier, in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, where her journey was recognized as a powerful example of how technical education can transform lives.

Currently pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, Womack is working toward becoming a Registered Nurse (RN). With determination and resilience, she has been shaped by years spent in the foster care system and the challenges of transitioning into adulthood while striving to build a better future.
