Macon-Bibb County Fire Department Celebrate Arrival of 8 New Fire Engines

The Macon-Bibb County Fire department officially welcomed eight new fire engines into service during a traditional push-in ceremony on Tuesday.

The new engines will be placed into service at stations 5, 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 17 and 18. 

Fire Chief Shane Edwards says the trucks are strengthening the department’s ability to respond faster and more effectively to emergencies across Macon-Bibb county.
