Bibb Deputies ask Residents, Business Owners to Register Cameras to Help Solve Crimes

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is renewing its call for the community to help solve crimes. Cameras you may have around your home, or on your doorbell, could be the key piece of evidence they need.
Captain Jean Lebeuf with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says the intelligence unit will have a way to monitor cameras on commercial businesses at all times and would access residential cameras while investigating violent crimes.
“So that my unit, the intelligence unit, are the only ones that have the location,” he said. “We have an opportunity to see where the cameras are, out in the community; so, if there is a shooting or violent crime, or any crime in a community; we have contact information to reach out quietly to request video from those individuals,” said Lebeuf.
