Metro Warner Robins Unemployment Rate Falls in September

The Georgia Department of Labor announced Thursday that the two-county Warner Robins Metropolitan Statistical Area recorded an unemployment rate of 3.0% in September, down three-tenths from the previous month. A year ago, the rate was 2.9%.
“Unemployment in Georgia dropped across nearly every region in September," said Labor Commissioner Bárbara Rivera Holmes. "As we approach the end of the year, we’re staying focused on keeping workers ready, businesses strong, and opportunity growing across the state.”
The labor force in Warner Robins increased by 513 from the previous month and ended September at 89,674. That number declined by 634 from September 2024.
Warner Robins finished September with 86,979 employed residents, up by 758 over the month and down by 713 from September 2024.
Warner Robins ended September with 79,300 jobs, up 100 over the month and down by 400 from September 2024.
In September, initial unemployment claims decreased by 25 from the previous month and increased by 4 from the same month a year ago, totaling 249.
