At the January 22nd Hospital Authority Board Meeting, the board voted in favor to promote Casey Fleckenstein to Chief Executive Officer of Monroe County Hospital. “Casey brings over 20 years of knowledge to this role, and her passion for her hometown community and commitment to the hospital’s success is unmatched,” said Kerry Trapnell, Chief Administrative Officer of Aletheia Health Partners, the management company of the hospital.

Last February, Casey was promoted to Hospital Administrator, allowing her to focus more on the day-to-day operations of the hospital as well as serve as the hospital’s Chief Nursing Officer. While working alongside Aletheia Health Partners this past year, MCH has set numerous records and received several awards, such as Hospital of the Year for 2025 awarded by Hometown Health, LLC.

Casey graduated with her Associates of Science in Nursing from Gordon College in 2001 and later obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governor’s University in 2019. Casey began her nursing career right here at Monroe County Hospital.

When you speak with Casey about the importance of quality healthcare in rural communities, it is quite evident she is passionate about, and devoted to, our hospital. While she has been associated with MCH for more than twenty years, Casey’s affiliation with MCH began long before her nursing career. Casey remembers doing clinical rotations here at MCH while in high school in her health occupations class with her teacher Mrs. Penny Howard.

Casey has resided in Forsyth her entire life and is currently raising her family here. Casey has three children who are all enrolled in Monroe County Schools and are all actively involved in sports and extracurricular activities.

Casey is thrilled about this opportunity. Monroe County and the surrounding communities are facing new growth. Everywhere we look, we see new neighborhoods and businesses. As our population grows, so must the hospital. “Because this is my home, this is my family, and these are my neighbors, I know the importance of having a capable community hospital in our back yard.” She adds, “there is so much potential in our hospital and with our amazing team and Aletheia Health Partners, we are going to do great things! I’m so excited about the future.”
