Macon-Bibb Marks Little Richard’s 93rd Birthday With Celebration

The Macon-Bibb County Recreation Department is celebrating what would have been Little Richard’s 93rd birthday Friday with a special community event at the Little Richard House and Resource Center on Craft Street.
The drop-in celebration runs from 4 to 7 p.m. and includes guided tours, cake, and an indoor showing of the documentary “Rock & Relocate: The Story of Little Richard’s Childhood Home.” The film highlights the move of the home from 5th Street to Craft Street nearly a decade ago and is narrated by members of the Pleasant Hill community.
