One of the biggest highlights is the Hometown Holidays Parade, hosted by the Forsyth-Monroe Chamber. The parade begins at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, and will follow this year’s theme, “A Holiday Movie Celebration: Lights, Camera, Christmas!” Visitors can expect illuminated floats, music, dance groups and an appearance from Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Another major community event is the Jingle-N-Mingle & Candy Cane Crawl on Saturday, Dec. 6. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. around the Courthouse Square and features Christmas vendors, food trucks, music, a Kid’s Zone and a visit from Santa Ken Kringle. The event is supported by Forsyth Main Street, local law enforcement agencies, Monroe County Schools and the Sheriff Office’s C.A.R.E. Cottage.
