Community Invited to Attend Tree Lighting Event at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025

The community is invited to join Atrium Health Levine Children’s Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, for an annual holiday tradition, “A Night of Lights,” the lighting of the Children’s Tree. Weather permitting, the tree lighting ceremony will take place outside the children’s hospital, located at 700 Spring Street in Macon, and is open to the community. In the event of rain or severe weather, the event will be held indoors. The tree will be lit by a young patient who has received care at Atrium Health Levine Children’s. Music will be provided by students from St. Joseph’s Catholic School.

“‘A Night of Lights’ is a beautiful holiday tradition that celebrates our patients and their loved ones,” said Diana Sutton, chief nursing officer for Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital. “There will be festive music, a special lights display and at the center of it all is a tree that serves as a symbol of hope for our patients and the community throughout the holiday season.”

With the grand opening of Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital in 2019, Atrium Health Navicent doubled the size of the hospital and co-located children’s services under one roof. As part of the health system’s $98 million investment, Atrium Health Navicent continues to increase access to advanced pediatric care by fostering new partnerships, recruiting new specialists and launching programs benefiting young patients who were served in more than 51,400 visits last year.
