Mercer University's new School of Medicine is breaking ground this week on Riverside Drive, and nearby businesses are thrilled.
The $75 million project marks the start of redevelopment in the Riverside Drive area. The school will stand on the same street as the former Ramada Hotel, which is expected to become a hotel and convention center.
